Form a Odyssey Plan

The goal of this assignment is for you to make 3 ALTERNATE Lives that develop over 5 yearsafter you graduate.(Graduating from college should not be listed as part of your plan. Imagine that you've already graduated). Each life must include aspects of love, work, play, and health.

LIFE 1 ( phycisan assistant) Imagine the next 5 years of your life.This might be the plan that you are already working on or that you tell others about. Jot down your thoughts with words or doodles to represent all aspects of your life each year for the next 5 years.

Life 2 (audiologist) :Imagine if Life 1 were not possible.If major elements of Life 1 didn't exist or were blocked, what is your Plan B? Use words and doodles to outline how this life might unfold.

Life 3 (Event Planner) :Imagine a life if you couldn't fail.For example, if money was not a concern (maybe you aren't filthy rich, but you have enough to not be concerned with money) and you weren't concerned with what others thought of your plan, what would these 5 years look like?Incorporate wild ideas in this life.

Remember to consider your work, love, health, and play when imagining these lives and writing words or drawings on your sheet.If you've only used words, try to add some doddles as this allows you to access a different part of your brain for new ideas.

Step 3: After you've finished imagining the next 5 years for these 3 lives, fill in your compasses:

How many resources do you have to pull off this life? How much do you like this life? How confident are you in this life?

Is this life coherent?Does it align with who you are as a person and as a professional?

Step 4: Develop questions that arose for you through the process of imagining each life.

Step 5: Lastly, name each life. The names can be fun and do not have to be real job titles.
