Former radio DJ Jungle Julia Machai is now a reporter for an Austin, Texas TV news station. She's doing a "stand-up"report about COVID and minimum wage workers. Arlene Rojas is a server at a Big Kahuna Burger franchise. On her only break, 10 mins per three hours of doing curbside but also dealing with 50% capacity inside orders, she stands on a public street and gives Julia an interview how no one is getting hazard pay, the gloves and masks regularly tear, and she's told to ration them; any customer who refuses to wear a mask indoors must be accommodated despise CDC guidelines. Moreover, the boss regularly derides her shift workers by saying "Mexicans like you, not the Chinese, brought this virus to America!"

Her boss, sitting his car so he could spy on Jungle Julia's crew, sees Arlene talking to the camera and shouts to Arlene that she's fired... and he doesn't care she was talking about working conditions, a fair wage and COVID.

Across the street, Jungle Julia is about to get a toss from the anchor in the studio; right before that her producer says in her IFB earpiece that the Big Kahuna Burger has violated Arlene's First Amendment rights. As the camera switches on Jungle Julia nods and says, "I agree with that statement, l'll lead with that."
