As part of this grant of authority, Francis tells Stephanie that he only wants a new baseball deal of at least four years. After talking with the teams that expressed an interest in Francis, Stephanie finds no team willing to offer him a contract of at least four years. Stephanie does find two teams willing to make him a two-year offer.
