Fraud can be the basis for a civil cause of action or a criminal cause of action. Research a case involving criminal fraud. Do not repeat a case you may have discussed in week one. In your post, you should:

• Briefly describe the facts of the case and the elements the prosecution needed to prove.
• Evaluate whether the prosecution met their burden of proof.
• Explain why this was blue-collar crime or white-collar crime.
• Explain why the case was punished as a felony or misdemeanor.

Evaluate the punishment received for the crime (or the lack of punishment) in terms of the relevant punishment theory.
