Freating a Newsletter with Word 2016 Tables 1. Use your own name in the heading. 2. For the text and picture after the heading, create text boxes so the text and picture are aligned. Use the Ingert Text box commands to do this. Do the same for the text and picture at the bottom of the page. Use Format/Align text to place them evenly on the page. 3. Delete the lines around the text boxes. To do this, right click on the outer line of the text box to get a four-headed arrow. On the dropdown menu, choose Format Shape. Choose Line-No Line. 4. When you are ready to begin your columns, click on the Insert tab and click on the Table icon 5. Select the number of columns you want, e.g., 2. Type your information in the appropriate cells. 6. Select the entire table by clicking on the box with a black cross above the upper-left comer of the table. 7. Select the down arrow on the Borders button. Choose No Border. 8. For one line down the middle, click the down arrow on the Border button again and choose Inside Vertical Border
