Fred glanced at the calendar and then at the clock. It was Wednesday in time for his department's weekly staff meeting. He had to make certain that the meetings were useful. The department was in the middle of several complicated projects. The meetings allowed people to discuss problems they were encountering and how best to overcome them. However, the fact the meetings have served a useful purpose did not offset the stress Fred encountered while running the meeting or extracting the necessary information after people had gone back to work.As his people filed in$,$ he could not help but wonder what the reaction was to these weekly progress sessions.
