From my experience and my understanding of business strategy, they are a group of actions that are usually made by the business leaders or the leaders of that respective company, and this helps the company get more new clients, offer competition to other businesses and companies, expands the business and also it makes the company attain their goal. In simple terms, it is a set of plans to be used in the organization that ensures the operation of the business runs smoothly in the day-to-day activities. From my experience, the business strategy helps the business have a clear vision, mission, and direction for the operation. I learned that people inside the organization should have a good goal and make sure that they adhere to the organization's mission and follow the apparent direction of the organization. The strategy provides morale for the employees in the organization; hence, they don't lose focus on the organization's primary goal (Jadoon & Ali, 2018).
From my experience, the business cultures that can help the business develop and execute business strategy are like having respect, dignity, and empathy towards the employees. Being generally friendly to the employees makes them even more motivated while handling their work. Another culture that I witnessed helpfully is allowing room for innovation and creativity within the organization. This is important because the employees will feel supported by their new ideas, making them want to go the extra mile for the organization hence more profitability (Frinses et al., 2021). The other one is empowering the employees and being honest with them, thus resulting in positive energy and willingness of the employees to put in more work.
I prefer a business strategy to be mission-driven because it enables the business to focus on returning the organizational return to the stakeholders, and the mission is used to support the business operations compared to the purpose-driven which is mainly used by the nonprofit organizations and only used whenever there is need to solve a problem. This is a disadvantage that the company or the organization may try to consider (Beery et al., 2022).
