from the readings I seem to hear in my head that EPS (Earning per share) can be misleading and sometimes doesn't tell you anything. can you help me understand how it's calculated? I would think you should take a company's Net Income/ divided by how many of shares outstanding. My thoughts an investor is always seeking growth in EPS which is gold to an investor and sought after by many investors. Make sense? It is true when companies develop excess debt most companies like to buy back their stock ??
