From Tuesday's class discussion, it is apparent there are many factors leading the race for the Arctic. Most of these can be categorized as economic, social or environmental issues or opportunities. Which factor has the strongest influence for wanting to claim sovereign territory in the Arctic or the ability to use the new passages? Are some factors in conflict with others?
