Garry purchases a new television from a retailer, 'The Big Guys', Garry explains that he has poor television reception in his suburb and he wants a television and aerial that will allow him to receive and view all available television stations. The salesperson shows Garry several televisions as well as a number of aerials; Garry is eventually convinced to purchase an expensive set with an equally expensive reception amplifier. Garry takes the television home and installs it, according to the instructions on the box. The television works well for most television stations, but several stations are very fuzzy and not really watchable. A neighbour is called in to look at Garry's television, the neighbour tells Garry that everyone in the area actually uses a very different type of aerial amplification, and that the aerial Garry has is at the lower end of useability. The neighbour also points to the scratches at the back of the TV, it looks as if the TV has previously been used and is not brand new. What are Garry's rights under the Australian Consumer Law regarding the purchase of the TV
