This business case is a project management document that explains how the benefits of the Gauteng Province International Festival 2023 overweigh the costs, and why it should be executed. The business case has been prepared during the project initiation phase of this project so as to include all the project's objectives, costs and benefits to convince the project's stakeholders of its value. This is an important project document to prove to our client and stakeholders that the Gauteng Province International Festival 2023 project is a sound investment.
The Festival Director, PD Rwelamila, who is also the Chief Executive and Artistic Director of UNISA-SBLF, shall be the Project Manager (PM). The PM has overall responsibility for the artistic direction and delivery of the festival. The PM or Festival Director shall work with Ms S Nhlabatsi, the Festival's Creative Director, and T Makgopa who is Head of Programming & Producing at UNISA-SBLF, to develop and deliver the festival programme. The Festival Co-ordinator will report to the Festival Director but work closely with all three as well as with the wider Festival Team who will be supported by UNISA-SBLF core staff and volunteers.
However three students namely Naki, Lorraine and Barbra have been tasked to assist the Festival Director, PD Rwelamila, who is also the Chief Executive and Artistic Director of UNISA-SBLF, who is the Project Manager (PM) of the project to make sure that the festival is a success.
The students were also reported that they had conflict as they accused one another of not completing tasks and having challenges with stakeholders and disagreements on logistics of the festival
