Assume that you were given a set of 3 scores of individuals who were measured on a standard psychological test of spatial memory. Those three individuals scored 16, 14, and 18. Further assume that these were three of the scores from a sample of four that had originally been taken. The investigator misplaced the scoresheet for the fourth subject that was tested. However, the investigator had already computed the mean and standard deviation of the four scores. The mean of the four scores was 17. Can you determine what the "missing" fourth score was? a. b.
