Geometric Ad Sdn Bhd is a branch of a major international public relations firm in Malaysia. It maintains its corporate bank account with UOB Bank. Martin Lee is a chief executive of the company and he is also the majority shareholder who is empowered to issue cheques on behalf of the company. The corporate administrator, Rozilah, is a questionable individual due to her records of fraud in her previous ventures.

The company does not have a proper monitoring system in place to ensure cheques are issued properly. The authority to issue cheques lies within Rozilah's department.Over the course of 3 years, she has issued 300 cheques worth a total of RM3,000,000 to her personal bank account, with the intention to abscond the fund.Martin does not conduct any checks on the company cheque books and he was unaware about these transactions.

Upon a spot audit by the holding company, Rozilah absconded and this issue surfaced. The company has now instituted a legal action against UOB Bank for conversion in order to recover the missing funds.
