Gita is 18 and is a struggling singer who has had little success in obtaining work. John is a famous and influential music producer who sees Gita perform and decides that with correct promotion she could become very successful. Gita is flattered and overwhelmed when John approaches her and she enters a contract for him to act as her agent for 10 years in return for exclusive managerial and promotional power and 75% of all her earnings. Three years later, Gita realises she no longer needs John and wishes to terminate the contract.
