Give examples from the last month or so where you participated in a positive-sum, a zero-sum, and a negative-sum power relation. Describe what motivated you to participate in a negative-sum or a zero-sum relation? Are there factors other than "power" that we should be considering?

Question 2 : Power relations based on reciprocity work poorly because of misunderstandings or 'frictions' between people in communications and enforcement. What are some of the sources of such frictions and what might decrease them?

Question 3 : Functional Ownership and Cumulative Causation

Give two examples in your life: one where you have seen or experienced "functional ownership" and one where you have seen or experienced "cumulative causation" of power. Do you think that either one of these was "fair"? Explain.
