Glenda asked George to make a wedding cake for her to be delivered on February 13, or a day before her wedding. Rushing for the cake orders because of Valentines day the day after, George only remembered Glenda's order when he opened his phone and saw a barrage of text messages and missed calls from Glenda. Exhausted of the day's work, George thought of making the cake the following day and deliver it early in the morning as the reception is still at noon. At 8:00 am, George carefully loaded the cake on the van. On his way to Tierra Alta, his van was hit by a car. The cake was badly damaged. He called Glenda that he could no longer deliver the cake and told her to get a ready made cake from Chantilly at his expense. Glenda sued George for damages. George countered that what happened was not his fault and that he was actually ready to deliver the cake hours before the reception. Is George's contention correct? Reasons.
