Go to Open Hamilton. Search for the "Bike racks" dataset. The default is a map view, but on the left menu bar, you will see, "800 records: View data table." Click "View data table" and download the *.CSV file.

Make a pivot table that compiles the total capacity of bike racks (cell values) for each ward in Hamilton (wards in rows) and who owns them (ownership in columns).

Make a graph that compares "Municipal" and "Private" (and only those categories) bike racks (not capacity, but number of racks) in each ward as percentage of the total number of bike racks of all categories. ("Municipal" and "Private" will not add up to 100% if there are three or more categories of ownership in a ward.)

Reminder to use quality control! As a first check, your sum of "Total capacity" should be 7696 (updated 12 January 2023; any update after that will throw off total). Check that the data in your spreadsheet is organized the way you expect.

Example: A column title says "Year," but a cell in that column says "Pizza" which is clearly not a year.

Example: There are only 9 columns, but there are occasionally values in column 10.

If Excel treats something as different that you see as the same, try filtering or sorting the original sheet to see if you can detect why Excel is treating cell values different. Remember that computers are very literal, and are sensitive to things like letter casing, spacing, and so on.
