• Read it to answer the questions below. You should also use it to prepare for the Unit 8 Seminar.

After reading the Baby M case and the summary, post your responses to the following questions:

1. Explain what the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled as to the enforceability of the surrogacy contract, and sum up its reasons for its ruling. Do you agree with this ruling? Why or why not?
2. How did the New Jerey Supreme Court rule with regard to custody of Baby M? What was the court's rationale? Do you agree with the custody ruling? Why or why not?
