Go to www.bloomberg.comLinks to an external site. and highlight "Market Data" and select "Economic Calendar". I also posted a link in the Course Resources section. Here you will find important economic releases happening during the current week. You should filter for the US by first clearing the data from other countries and selecting "United States". Select one economic indicator ( i.e. GDP, Unemployment, ISM Manufacturing, Etc.). Please select an indicator that has at least 2 bull symbols next to it (The higher the number of bull signals, the more important the information is to capital markets). Preview the information provided regarding the consensus expectations, and general expectations surrounding the indicator that you selected.

Following the release of the economic indicators, review the actual data vs. the expected data. Try to locate an article or video that discusses the data and summarize that opinion with your own. You can also review the stock market data for that day to better understand how the data release impacted the market and discuss this as well. Please summarize your findings and explain the relevance of your findings to a particular sector of the economy or industry.
