GoldenHouseholds LLC operates its online store selling where it sells various household goods via Amazon. On Jan 1, 2021 Andy was 17 years old and had his birthday coming up a week, on January 7, 2021. His parents, who are very wealthy, this year decided to give him a $500 Amazon gift card earlier than his birthday so he can buy whatever he wants for his soon upcoming adult life.

Andy and his friends decided to celebrate his birthday Jan 1stsince they were gathered for the New Years eve party. Andy, under severe peer pressure surrendered to smoking cocaine and ecstasy. It was his first time doing this. His nervous system became influenced with the drugs however he was able to walk, carry on conversations but was smiling non stop. All his senses were heightened, he was too alert, and his thoughts involved reasoning. In these moments, Andy along with friends help decided to go on an Amazon shopping spree and spent $500 on buying a very expensive bedsheet from GoldenHouseholds via online store.

When the bedsheet arrived on Jan 10thvia the courier, Andy simply refused to accept shipment and demanded his money (gift card) back from the merchant. Andy remembers making the purchase but he thinks it was a bad deal and that he was a minor at the time, and therefore he believes there was no legal contract.

Assume for Andy's situation that legally, there was offer, acceptance, consideration all present. Was there a contract? If you were Andy's lawyer what would you argue? What arguments would you anticipate GOldenHouseholds LLC attorneys make and how would you rebut them?
