(The data below comes from the General Registry Office of Scotland. I cannot vouch for its accuracy, but for the sake if the exam, let's assume it is correct).

Scotland currently has a population of 5 million. The world's population is roughly 7 billion. It is estimated that 30% of the people in Scotland have red hair. The rest of the world is only 0.5% redheads.

a). How often would I walk into a pub in Scotland with eleven jolly drinkers and see less than 4 redheads? (10 points)

b). If I selected a redhead at random from the world, how likely is that "Red" (the person) Scottish?
