Good decision I made that resulted in a bad outcome.

The first house I bought in my back country before coming to United States about twenty years ago. At first, I was so excited because it was my first one house. Second, it was small, but beautiful house, just like the one my parents dreamed to have one day. However, after my parents and I moved in, six month later, we discovered so many problem in that house, such as water installation, bathroom installation connections and so on. I spent so much more money to fix it. And the worst think, when I fixed a problem, another problem was coming out always. As the result, I had to tear part of the house down and rebuilt it, which costed me more than the houses price. I consider the decision of buying a house as a good one because I promised to buy a house for my parents in a better place. Although I had to spend more than I expected, it made my parents and I very happy when I bought at the first place.

From this example, can you create a decision table including the different alternatives and states of nature?

Also can you illustrate how the decision criteria can be applied towards a decision?
