Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a collaborative approach to project management, and it can be made more efficient with the use of specific software and communication methods. At work, we use HCSS Heavy Civil to manage cost, safety, planning, progress financing, and overall operations in the Field. Another great tool we have is Revu for take-offs and estimations, and to me, the most helpful is PlanGrid. This last one keeps all the files and plans in the cloud, and everyone, as part of our unified team, has access to notes, files, annotations, and new progress updates on a daily basis, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration. Remember, the key to making IPD run smoothly is not just having the right tools but also ensuring that all team members are trained to use these tools effectively and that there is a culture of open and transparent communication
