Good morning,
Can you help me define the problem of the case and answer qualifying questions.
A local restaurant has received an unsolicited offer to sell their location-not their business.
A developer has purchased the surrounding property to build a hotel. But we are consultants that have been hired by the restaurant to suggest if we should or should not sell based on economic/market issues-not family issues. The overall question is should we sell?
Restaurant name is Lemongrass Thai restaurant here in Cincinnati, OH. I'm trying to determine if it should sell or stay in business.
I need help knowing if Lemongrass gets mor or less of their share of the "the customer pie"?
Is Lemongrass restaurant here in Cincinnati, OH doing 10% better than average based on similar restaurants in Cincinnati, OH?
What we know is that Lemon Grass is owned by family members all in their 40's. The potential buyer wants to build a hotel and the location is a prime location for either type of business. It's on a main street that is busy, attracts buyers and it is in one of the highest traffic areas in the city. The restaurant cannot expand because the investor has purchased all the properties surrounding the restaurant, their only option to expand is to sell and move.
