Good morning, Leaders,After reading through the textbook again, this morning. I realized I posted the wrong question. A failure on me. Good thing, it is fixable, because when mistakes are made people get hurt or even worst could possibly die. So, I sincerly apologize for the mistake.I thought it would be helpful to discuss torque in the context of real-life examples. As we know, torque is the rotational equivalent of linear force. It's calculated as the product of the force and the distance from the pivot point at which the force is applied. The direction of the force also matters. All should know about now I am a huge sports person and I have served in the military for the last 18 years, so it is always easy for me to use examples from the two things I love most!1) A basketball player spinning a basketball on their finger: In this case, the player applies a relatively small force at the edge of the basketball. The distance from the pivot point (the player's finger at the center of the ball) to the point of force application is the radius of the basketball. This distance, although not huge, is significant enough to create a large torque. So, even with a small force, the player can make the basketball spin. This is a great example of how a small force can generate a large torque.2) A US Army Soldier pushing a heavy Tactical box straight forward. The Soldier might be applying a large force, but the torque is small or even zero. Why? because torque, rewrite to sound better
