Gork, a scientist working out of his basement, discovers the physics principle of "ethermalhydrosis," a phenomenon of nature whereby exposing certain chemicals to a temperature of 75 degrees Celsius for 10 straight minutes causes the chemicals to start sprouting fresh, drinkable water. Based on this discovery, he produces a machine called the "ethermalhydrolyzer," which produces fresh water in a controlled chemical and temperature environment.
