Using a warehouse setting, three examples of nonmanagement functions would be pulling orders, packing the products, and shipping the goods. All of these duties are assigned to three different departments, and each has its own responsibilities. The manager must properly train each employee to fulfill each task. Once the employee is properly trained and has met the probation period to be released to perform, the manager can delegate duties. Delegating the duties allow the manager to complete his/her true responsibilities. It's okay to help out the employee, if time permits.
