Jaymee has asked Greta to respond to Sarah's questions with respect to some investments. She needs some clarification on what the various interest rates are on the bond investment. See Appendix I for more information. Instructions: - In Column B, rows 2 to 4 , enter the amounts for the item described in Column A as a percentage to three decimal places (that is, 2.3521% is entered as 2.352 ). Appendix I: Email from Sarah Rakinson Jaymee Voight From Sarah Rakinson Subject Greta Chang, Jaymee Voight To Good morning, As you suggested on our phone call, I have provided the information and my questions below. I am considering an investment in OPK Limited 8.4% bonds, which pay interest quarterly. I am a bit confused about what the nominal rate, the real rate, and the effective annual rate of returns would be on these bonds. I am also considering a purchase of an annuity on January 1, Year 1, that pays $5,000 at the beginning of every month, but the first payment will not start until January 1 , Year 3 , and the last payment is received on December 1, Year 9. Can you tell me what I should pay for this annuity if the interest rate quoted for this investment is 6% ? Finally, I have to get a new mortgage and have received the attached mortgage terms from my bank. Could you please review them and let me know the amount of the mortgage payment? Thanks. Regards, Sarah Greta, The annual inflation rate is 0.9%.
