Statement of Grievance:
I, Chimene Shenge, am filing a grievance against my employer, Yummy Juice Company, for violating the collective agreement, specifically Article VII: Overtime Compensation. On November 13th,2023, I was required to work overtime to meet an urgent project deadline. According to the collective agreement, any overtime work should be compensated at a rate of 1.5 times the regular hourly rate. However, the employer failed to provide the agreed-upon overtime compensation for the extra hours worked.
Adjustment Requested: That my record be made whole in all respects,
I request that my record be made whole in all respects, and the employer compensate me for the overtime hours worked in accordance with Article VII of the collective agreement.

Department Manager's Reply:
After carefully reviewing Chimene Shenge's grievance regarding the alleged violation of Article VII: Overtime Compensation, I, Dorothy, have determined that the employee's claim is valid. The supervisor's reply did not satisfactorily adjust the grievance, and as per the collective agreement, I hereby render a decision that the employee should be compensated for the overtime hours worked. The compensation should be provided at a rate of 1.5 times the regular hourly rate, and the adjustment should be reflected in the upcoming payroll cycle.
