Group Activity #3 - 15% Groups have been randomly assigned on D2L. YOUR TASK Summary: Prepare a short report of no more than 4 pages (with exhibits) that analyzes the financial issues of Laurentian University from a Managerial Accounting basis using Excel or other tools to create some visual dashboards. While full budget information does not appear to be available, the audited financial statements do have some disclosure of major areas (i.e. budgeted revenue to actual revenue) etc. The E&Y Centre - The Monitor's report area - has information on Cash Flow Forecasting. YOUR REPORT SHOULD INCLUDE Issue: Clearly state the issue surrounding Laurentian University and your main managerial focus (budget to actual, cash flow forecasting) Analysis: Your analysis should be short and concise. Include in this analysis a minimum of 4 visual dashboards of data that you have accumulated and are using (so, you might have analyzed the revenues of LU over a period of a number of years and compared to posted budgets). Your group will be marked on the quality and relevance of your visual dashboards. I.E. Do not create a visual dashboard 'just because'. Findings: What did your group find out during your analysis. Recommendations: Your group may recommend a course of action that may include qualitative aspects such as transparency; however, make sure you are clear.
