Guidelines:

1. In Lesson 1, we discussed two classifications of quantitative variables. For this task,

you must look for TWO things INSIDE YOUR HOUSE that represent each classification.

Then for each picture provide two to three sentences that will explain why you think

that thing represents that classification. (2 things for discrete and another 2 for

continuous). The explanation can be typewritten.

2. In Lesson 1 also, we discussed four types of measurement scale. For this task, you

must look for TWO things INSIDE YOUR HOUSE that represent each type of

measurement scale. Then for each picture provide two to three sentences that will

explain why you think that thing represents that type. (2 things for nominal, 2 for ordinal,

2 for interval, and 2 for ratio). The explanation can be typewritten.

3. No two students must have the same picture and explanation for the entire

performance task. If this will happen an automatic score of zero will be received by

both students. Also, pictures must be taken real time and pictures SHOULD NOT be

coming from the internet. You will automatically receive a grade of O if you are caught

getting pictures available on the net.
