Examples of such US hospitality firms include: Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Wyndham, Choice, Cheesecake Factory, Darden, Brinker, Bloomin' Brands, Delta, Southwest, American Airlines, Accor, United, MGM, Caesars, Vail Resorts, Wynn Resorts, etc. A) Download the 2023 Annual Report AND 10-K SEC financial statement filing. You will then focus on the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. a. Note - the 2023 10-K will have 2022 in the balance sheet, and probably 2021 in the income statement. If the firm you chose has not yet released their 2023 Annual Reports (and 10Ks), you may use 2022. B) You will conducting a financial analysis on the company by performing the tasks listed below: 1. RATIO ANALYSIS (70 points total): You calculate the ratios for the firm. Include the ratio definitions: -2.5 points each missing calculation, -2.5 points each missing interpretation of ratio in context of performance of firm (so 5 points per accurate ratio with definition and interpretation). Required Ratios: a. Liquidity Ratios (5 points each = 20 points) i. Current Ratio ii. Quick Ratio iii. Operating Cash Flows to Current Liabilities Ratio iv. Working Capital b. Solvency Ratios (20 points) i. Solvency Ratio ii. Debt to Equity Ratio iii. Debt to Assets Ratio iv. Operating Cash Flows to Total Liabilities Ratio c. Activity Ratios (10 points) i. Property and Equipment Turnover Ratio ii. Total Asset Turnover Ratio d. Profitability Ratios (20 points) i. Profit Margin ii. Gross Operating Profit Margin iii. Return on Assets Ratio iv. Return on Equity Ratio e. Investor Ratios*
