Hall used breeding studies to estimate the influence of genes on behavior. In humans, twin studies have led to calculation of heritability quotients for human behavior including intelligence and personality traits. Comparison of monozygotic and dizygotic twins as well as monozygotic twins reared apart have led to estimates of the contribution of environment to behavior.
