Haltoyb Chicken Sdn Bhd was established in year 2015 as a poultry business. The business operation focuses on supplying and producing processed chicken to the northern region market of the Peninsular Malaysia. Haltoyb Chicken has upgraded their chicken processing factory system with the latest technology that helped to speed up their operations and reduce errors. Now, the factory can produce 10,000 unit of processed chicken every day in comparison to only 1,000 unit three years ago. With the aim to penetrate the market, Haltoyb Chicken has appointed 50 stockists and 200 agents, besides the existing wholesalers. Initially, orders from stockists and agents were handled manually by three sales supervisors. They are also responsible to monitor stocks and inform procurement person to replenish supplies when needed. Additionally, the sales supervisors need to inform the finance person about the stockists' and agents' sales achievement for the purpose of commission payment. However, a spike in chicken demand has caused some chaos in Haltoyb's supply, inventory and sales systems. The founder, Mrs Leefa realised that problems of insufficient supplies, overlapping and delayed orders, and errors in stockists and agents collections and commission payments are caused by the lack of an integrated system in the company. Therefore, Mrs Leefa has appointed a consultant, WeReady Consulting Sdn. Bhd. to develop and implement a new integrated ERP system for Haltoyb Chicken Sdn. Bhd. The new system is expected to streamline the business processes and overcome the current problems. The consultant team, is now preparing for the system implementation phase, which is scheduled to resume in two weeks. Prior to the implementation, Mrs Leefa received the following email from the consultant team with regards to the system implementation plan. To : leefa@haltoyb.com.my From : it@weready.com.my Re : System Implementation Plan for Haltoyb Chicken Sdn. Bhd. Good Day Mrs Leefa, Thank you for replying our email. Below is the list of important notes for the system implementation plan to be discussed in tomorrow's meeting. 1. We will conduct the final design walk-through with user representatives. 2. We have developed a program test plan for your consideration. We need to decide on the modes of testing. Due to time limitation, we would suggest that only integration and system testing to be conducted. The unit testing will not be performed at this stage. 3. We hope that Haltoyb Chicken has decided on the appropriate training to ensure smooth implementation of the ERP system. 4. Due to budget constraint, we propose a direct cutover as the system conversion approach. 5. There are four types of system maintenance to be considered: corrective, adaptive, perfective and preventive maintenance. We are designing the best system maintenance plan for the ERP system. I am looking forward to meeting you tomorrow so that we can finalize the system implementation plan. Thank you. Best regards, We Ready Consulting Sdn.
