Harvey Dent - Though he was raised under harsh and abusiveconditions, due to his work ethic, Harvey Dent was elected theyoungest district attorney in Gotham. His work focused on makingsure that law and order were upheld throughout Gotham, meaning thathe was flooded with allies and supporters in the justicedepartment, even making friends with Batman. His main case was inbringing down Falcone, deciding that he would do whatever it tookto get Falcone off the streets, so long as it existed within thelaw. This led Batman and Commissioner Gordon to distrust dent,especially after displaying an angrier temperament than he had inthe past. During a trial, Dent had acid thrown on his face during atrial, horribly scarring the entire left side of his face.

Afterthe incident, Dent becomes obsessed with the number two. He altershis clothes to match his new physical appearance, having one halfof the outfit made from completely different material on the sideof his scarred face. He carries a coin with him, one side smoothand one scarred, to help him make decisions. He becomes sodependent on the coin, that he even uses it to decide whether heshould go to the restroom or not. Beyond this, an alter egodeveloped for Dent, a side to his personality that helps himrationalize and commit unlawful atrocities. This persona, by thename of Two-Face, serves as a direct opposite to Dent’spersonality. When Dent gets facial reconstruction surgery and loseshis scars, the alternate persona seems to go away, only returning ayear later after a string of murders and forcing Dent to scarhimself again.
