Have each student (or pair of students if not all have a computer) do five searches for products they might consider purchasing online in the next month. For each search, have students record (1) whether Amazon showed up in the first page of organic results and (2) whether Amazon had a paid advertisement. After they have done all five searches, poll the students and see how prevalent Amazon's search advertising is and how well they rank for various searches.
