A high order question I will ask to start the lesson from the example is, "what do you think will happen to the snow, when the sun shines?" "Why do you think the changes will occur? The scholars should be able to relate to the two examples because a kindergarten scholar love when the sun is out and some may love to play in the snow. The scholars will be able to explain that cooling water can change to ice and heating ice can change it back to a liquid. Scholars will also be able to explain that when heating a substance makes the molecules move faster and cooling a substance makes the molecules move slower. I chose the assessment because of grade level; the kinder scholars typically can relate to hands on objects and colors. Holding up the red and blue construction paper will allow me as a teacher to observe the scholars. I will even tell them to close their eyes, turn around, or assess them individual so I can observe the scholars that I may have to re-teach, one on one, and pull for small groups
