TITLE: THE FIVE DYSFUNCTIONS OF A TEAM

Instructions:

• PowerPoint Presentations are to be done in bullet format. Bullets should not be paragraphs simply inserted into the presentations. Bullets are short phrases or sentences that are explained by the speaker - not simply read by the speaker.
• Provide an overview of key concepts from the chosen book.
• Relate two (2) concepts from the course textbook to the chosen book. These concepts can come from any of the following:
  • Planning (Chapters 1,2,3,4,6 &7),
  • Performance (Chapters 9 & 10)
  • Process (Chapters 10 &15)
  • People (Chapter 16, 17, 18)
• The two concepts should not be the domain in general, but rather a theory taught within one of the four domains. A few examples would be:
  • The Vision Framework or EFQM from the Planning Domain;
  • The Performance Measurement Framework or Organizational Change Framework from the Performance Domain;
  • Lean, Kaizen or Value Stream Mapping from the Process Domain;
  • Team Development, Situational Leadership or Culture from the People Domain.
• Discuss a key concept from the chosen book that falls into one of the four domains studied in the course - Planning, Performance, People, or Processes - and identify how the ideas in the book might influence the application of the concept in the workplace.
• The presentation can contain one video up to 6 minutes in total.
• Presentation must contain an exercise/class activity that engages the audience, based on the content presented, and helps to further their understanding.
• The presentation must contain areflection from the group on the value, benefits, and advantages of the theories or practices covered in your textbook
• You should not have more than 45 slides in total, including reference slides. This will help you focus on the truly main points of the book.
• If a direct quote is used from the book in a slide, the reference must be provided at the bottom of the slide.
