Hello Class,
1. I chose the service of "Resume and Job Search". I chose this particular tool because I feel that it could help me, currently and in the near future, when looking for a job.
2. I learned that in order to do student employment you are required to complete a Student Employment Quiz. Work study jobs are only available for students who qualify for financial aid. Also Institutional Hire jobs do not require students to qualify for financial aid (Institutional Hire = non work study). Work-Based Learning will broaden a students career opportunities by having them participate in internships.
3. I feel this will support me during my time here at Clark as I engage in the 6 elements of Career Planning because, the tool I selected directly mentions Work-Based Learning. Work-Based Learning is included in one of the 6 elements of career planning. I feel that this could greatly benefit me because it allows me to expand my career opportunities by partaking in internships. This could help me learn about what it's like to have a job and learn more about the real world. I can gain work experience and receive on the job training while still being in school.
