Could you please advise why the following two ideas/strategies foresee occurring in 2022 and beyond. Why are they important? Please provide an examples.

"The first management trend I can see taking a rise in 2022 and beyond is increased importance put on soft skills and emotional intelligence (mentioned in chapter 9).As more results are coming out about the benefits of soft skills, I can see how more emphasis will be placed on obtaining and utilizing these skills. Especially in group environments and relational work the benefits of soft skills shine through.

The second management trend I could see is that more employees will see individual responsibility and empowerment (discussed some in chapter 6). With businesses experimenting with all kinds of work schedules and especially with the rise of at-home workers, I believe that a traditional management and control structure might prove to be inefficient is some applications. With workers all working in different areas at different times on different things, having someone overseeing all of the processes would be tedious. I believe that the organizations that can make the switch to have many of their employees working with independent responsibility."
