Hello everybody and welcome to our final week, week 8!

Before diving in its important to know that Supply chain management is "the coordination of all supply chain activities involved in enhancing the customer value" (Heizer, Render, Munson,2019). When assessing the supply chain an important piece to that puzzle is Sales and operations planning. This form of planning allows for the collaboration of all the departments on a regular basis where they can discuss resources. The use of Sales and Operations planning a company is capable of making positive choices regarding supply and demand, product management as well as inventory management. Another beneficial part of supply chain management would be cross-sourcing. Cross sourcing is "using one supplier for a component and a second supplier for another component, where each supplier acts as a backup for the other" (Heizer, Render, Munson,2019). When a company utilizes this approach, they are creating a safety net, one that will secure the supply chain. By implementing these forms of supply chains, we will ultimately be able to reduce costs.

Thank you everybody for providing your useful feedback throughout this course and I wish you the best moving forward!
