Hello everyone, The three levels of organizational culture are behavior, values and beliefs, and lastly assumptions. These three levels are directly related to ethical and unethical behavior in the workplace. From the reading this week we know that "ethics are the standards of right and wrong that influence behavior. Right behavior is considered ethical, and wrong behavior is considered unethical (Lussier, 1, p. 62)." Behavior consists of how we act and what we say. This means that each individual may have a different idea of what is ethical and what is not. They also have the free will to choose the type of workplace ethics they take part in. Values and beliefs are how people think they should act in the workplace. This relates to ethical and unethical behavior in the workplace. A persons values and beliefs affects their decision making and has sway over their behavior. Assumptions are things that are accepted as truth, without proof. This relates to ethical and unethical behavior in the workplace because assumptions can be bad and they are hard to change. If the assumptions are unethical, the workplace can be disrupted.
