I am studying Legal Issues in Business and have a legal question.

According to the laws of the United States can a manager be held accountable by any law for employee misconduct under their watch or leadership? (The misconduct was unknown to the manager at the time of the occurrence)

I am not passing of your response as my work. I just want to be aware of the law if any so that I can read and understand it and apply the teaching of the law to a case study.
