Hello, I am totally lost with Python and I really need all the help I can get. This is my assignment: Design a python program with a loop that asks the user to enter a series of positive numbers. The user should enter a negative number to signal the end of series. Once a user enters a negative number, your program should display the greatest and smallest number entered, the sum of all positive numbers and their average. So far I gotten this:
Number = [] while True: try: num = int(input("Enter a positive number. Enter negative number to quit: ")) except ValueError: continue if num < 0: break Number.append(num) print("The Greatest number is", max(Number)) print("The Sum is", sum(Number)) print("The Average of numbers is", sum(Number) / len(Number) ) print("The Smallest number is", min(Number))
Really don't understand "Number.append(num) string. I'm using Pycharm 2018.2. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
