Hello,

I am working on Shear and Moment Diagrams and I am stuck on a problem.

The problem is a simple beam in 4 5ft segments, support on one end and at the 15ft, with a 5 ft overhang.

There is a distributed load across the entire length of the beam 400 lb ft

There is a point load at the 10 ft mark of 20 kip.

I am having trouble understanding how to divide the 20 kip load across because it is not symmetrical, I am hoping you can point me in the right direction...
