Hello,

I correctly figured out all the answers up until the P value and whether or not to reject the hypothesis. Could you please show the work on how you figure out the P value and then why we would not reject the hypothesis?

A certain drug can be used to reduce the acid produced by the body and heal damage to the esophagus due to acid reflux. The manufacturer of the drug claims that more than 92% of patients taking the drug are healed within 8 weeks. In clinicaltrials, 211 of 226 patients suffering from acid reflux disease were healed after 8 weeks. Test themanufacturer's claim at the =0.1 level of significance. Because np01p0 = 16.6 greater than >10, the sample size is less than 5% of the populationsize, and the sample can be reasonably assumed to be random the requirements for testing the hypothesis are satisfied.

(Round to one decimal place asneeded.)

What are the null and alternativehypotheses?

H0: p = 0.92 versus H1: p > 0.92

(Type integers or decimals. Do notround.)

Find the teststatistic, z0= 0.76 (Round to two decimal places asneeded.)

Find theP-value.

P= (Round to three decimal places asneeded.)

Choose the correct conclusion below.

A. Reject the null hypothesis. There is sufficient evidence to conclude that more than 92% of patients taking the drug are healed within 8 weeks.

B. Donotreject the null hypothesis. There is insufficient evidence to conclude that more than 92% of patients taking the drug are healed within 8 weeks.

This is the correct answer.

C. Do not reject the null hypothesis. There is sufficient evidence to conclude more than 92% of patients taking the drug are healed within 8 weeks.

Your answer is not correct.

D. Reject the null hypothesis. There is insufficient evidence to conclude that more than 92% of patients taking the drug are healed within 8 weeks.
