Hello, I have a question regarding directory permissions and file permissions in linux. I am trying to indicate what the owner, group and others have permissions to, but not sure whether I am supposed to take the info from the directory permissions or the file permissions. Since Directory is drwxr-xr-x and File permissions are -rwxrwxr-- If that makes sense, since there is one directory permissions and one file permissions. I just have to list if its read,modify, delete or execute. I dont see the info anywhere in the video or lecture notes regarding this.
