The College Dean creates the current Course Schedule based on the schedules from prior terms, and then assigns faculty to teach the courses based on their annual assignment. The College Dean enters the faculty information into the Course Schedule Program which adds records to the Faculty Assignment file and updates the Course Schedule file. The College Dean prints three copies of the Course Schedule Report using the Course Schedule Program which views the Course Schedule file. One copy is sent to the Registrar who reviews and approves the Course Schedule Report before sending it back to the College Dean for filing in the Approved Course Schedules cabinet by term number. Another copy is sent to the Department Chair and another to the Provost. The Department Chair reviews the Course Catalog online and confirms that all required courses listed in the Course Catalog are included on the Course Schedule Report, and then approves the Course Schedule using the Workflow Program. The Department Chair files the Course Schedule Report by date. The Student receives a Flight Plan from their Advisor, selects which courses to take using the online course schedule, confirms that the courses are still open, and then completes the Flight Plan with their preferred courses. The Student sends the Flight Plan to their Advisor who approves it based on reasonableness and adherence to university requirements. The Advisor enters the current Flight Plan details into the Advising Program which updates the Flight Plan file, and then sends a confirmation email to the Student and files the Flight Plan in the Student Records filing cabinet by student name. The Student registers for courses using the Registration Program, prints two copies of their Term Schedule, and sends one copy to the Cashier.
