Hello I need help responding to me peers.

1. Maria said? I think this passage from Matthew relates to social comparison and encourages self-awareness and self-reflection instead. We often focus on others, rather it be positively or negatively and allow our observations to guide our behavior and judgment. In this passage, Jesus calls us to look inward and identify our own faults before judging others for theirs. This example could be related to downward social comparison, or the comparison to someone worse off than we are, often boosting the ego and making us feel better (Heinzen & Goodfriend, 2021). We should not rely on others being worse off, but instead make the necessary changes to improve ourselves regardless of what others are doing.

2. Jaleesa said ? When it comes to ethics, it is vital in any manner and situation. Particularly for any event being that it applies to various situations, like work related details as well as day to day life, that can potentially challenge where one stands on things. For myself, I relate this in my previous line of work where there have been previous circumstances that have been referred to by Human Resources as "arrangements", but they are not entirely specific to details or other things that may not be brought up during state mandated trainings, meetings, or even one's assigned by supervisors as to not step on anyone's toes. Where I previously worked at as a substance abuse counselor, there have been many trainings on where we would have to work with medical staff in trainings to learn what the signs are if someone is ill, abused, or potentially under the influence. This also applied into how we would work with the Department of Corrections to maintain the individual's safety within a prison environment, but there was limited information shared as to make the process easier between the two as corrections was a different process.
