For many of us, the only exposure we have to courtroom drama comes from television, movies, and sensational newspaper stories. Are these depictions accurate? Watch an episode of a law-themed tv show (e.g., Law and Order), or a movie that has an extended courtroom scene. Compare and contrast the fictional depiction of the courtroom drama with the research presented in the textbook as well as two relevant peer-reviewed articles. Use CUNY OneSearch (see the Newman Library tab of BlackBoard) to find two peer-reviewed journal articles to inform your understanding of the topic, and to cite within the essay. Cite the sources in accordance with the APA guidelines, and include a reference list (which may include your textbook in addition to the two peer-reviewed journal articles).
